In North Pole City, Candlemas is celebrated with reverence and wonder. Snow-covered cobblestone streets glow with towering candles encased in crystalline ice lanterns, while auroras ripple overhead like celestial flames welcoming the sacred day.
St. Nickolaus’s Holy Cathedral of the Northern Light

Near the heart of the Christmas Capital within the old North Pole Village stands St. Nickolaus’s Holy Cathedral of the Northern Light. It’s there that Santa Claus himself presides over a Candlemas church service. Dressed in ceremonial robes, Santa blesses candles beneath stained-glass windows glowing with reflected aurora light. The Lord’s holy home is packed with people witnessing the last day of the annual Christmas Season.
Santa’s Candle Lighting Ceremony

Following the saintly service, Santa leads a grand candle lighting ceremony from the church into the cobblestone streets of the city. One by one, candles are lit and placed upon altars of ice outside homes and businesses. Their flames dancing as the northern lights shimmer in response. An unspoken harmony between heaven and earth.
A Northern Light of Hope

The prolific procession ends in front of The Eternal Flame Of The Christmas Spirit. A sparkling gold cauldron with a metaphysical flame lit from the direct enchanted energy of The Spirit Of Christmas. The flame is so beyond holy that even Frosty The Snowman can stand next to it without fear of melting! Santa Claus along with his wife Holly and children Nick Jr. and Mary stand before the happy crowd. He then addresses the gathered elves, citizens, and guests from the supernatural world.
Old Saint Nick speaks of hope, renewal, and the enduring magic of light. In that moment, Candlemas becomes more than tradition. It becomes a promise. Even in the coldest place on Earth, the flame of goodness burns bright, guiding all toward the returning spring. Afterward most people added their candle flame to that of the Eternal Flame while making a private wish. Most head to the Grand Banquet Hall for the massive Candlemas Luncheon.
The Christmas Closing Ceremony

Some hours later the official Closing Ceremony Of The Christmas Season began. Everyone gathered around the gargantuan fully lit Christmas tree in the center of Downtown North Pole City. Santa stood in front of the towering redwood with give a rousing speech on the success of this Christmas Season and how it strengthened The Christmas Spirit. Enchanted energy used by the forces of righteousness in the battle against paranormal darkness. In many cases good witches, wizards, and sorcerers.
Santa reminded everyone outside of the North Pole to take down their Christmas Decor to avoid the specter of dark luck. Saint Nicholas then blessed the rest of the year before declaring Christmas Closed as he picked up the sacred Holiday Baton. A spiritual conduit that binds all holidays of the light together. He passed it to a Cupid Angel representative of Saint Valentine signifying that only The Valentine Season was in play. The Season began on February 1st thus creating a few days of holiday overlap. During these days some celebrate Valentinmas.
After the Cupid graciously accepted the mystical Baton Santa waved his hand causing the Christmas tree to go dark as everyone fell silent contemplating all they were thankful for during the Christmas Season. They also looked forward to the next season beginning on November 3rd. Before that there’s Christmas In July. After a minute Santa smiled and said, “Merry Next Christmas!” while he waved his hand to relight the tree.
He handed the Cupid a Valentine Card and hugged her. The entire group strolled back to the banquet hall for the final Christmas Dinner. At Midnight Santa blew out a candle in his study he keeps lit throughout the Christmas Season. He shed a tear of joy and fell into a sweet slumber full of Sugar Plum Fairy dreams!🎄
